New Arena in Kazan, Russia
This 27,500 m2 arena is mainly intended for ice hockey matches and concerts. It will seat 10 000 spectators. In addition, there will be a 500-seat practice rink adjacent to the main one. International standards in design and technology will be applied for the comfort of the players, entertainers and spectators but also to enable the organization of world-class events.
The arena is commissioned be Lemcon, a member of the Lemminkäinen group who was responsible for the construction of several recent arenas in Europe, notable the Hartwall Arena in Helsinki, Color Line Arena in Hamburg (also designed by Evata) and the Saku Great Hall in Tallinn.
