Opening of the Evata and Pöyry new joint office in Beijing
The newly renovated joint office of Evata and Pöyry was opened in Beijing in September 2007. Mr. Erkki Pehu-Lehtonen, President and CEO of Pöyry Group, attended the opening ceremonies in which our leading clients in Asia were invited.
 Teemu Vuori, the General Manager of Evata Asia in Beijing, believes that operating in the same premises makes the daily work more fluent thereby improving customer service. Sakari Oksanen, the Managing Director of Pöyry (Beijing) Co. Ltd adds that customers will benefit from this closer cooperation.. “The service offerings of Evata and Pöyry complement each other and these new premises enable seamless cooperation between units. This gives us a remarkable competitive advantage especially in land use planning, masterplanning and industrial projects.”, says Oksanen.
Pöyry and Evata have already put this into use by joining forcesI on tourism promotion and masterplanning projects in Northwest China and Inner Mongolia. The aim of these projects is to make the region more attractive to foreign tourists thereby benefiting local entrepreneurs and municipalities.
